Arthur Rayford a resident of Deland, FL, since 1926, is a self taught writer/artist who began his exploration of the visual arts in 1986 upon retirement. He cites the great classical and jazz composers as his sources of inspiration. His paintings are included in the permanent collection of the Hunter Museum, Chattanooga, TN, the Museum of Arts and Science, Daytona Beach, FL. His work has earned him numerous one-man and group exhibitons, and it is included in the permanent collections of the University of Maryland, Georgetown University and the National Education Association.
