LUPE LAWRENCE

Lupe Lawrence was born in Havana, Cuba and migrated to South Florida in1968.

She attended Covenant School of the Arts and won Best of Show for two continuous years. Her works are featured at the Historic Jenkins House, at the Covenant International Church. Her works have been shown at the Eva W. Mack Sickle Cell Luncheon, Cornell Museum, St. Frances Annual Black Heritage Banquet, PBC Dept. of Environmental Resource Management and The Governors Club.

Artist statement: Lupe is a born again Christian, as I paint I pray and intercessions occur. My desire is that through my paintings the viewer will come away with the peace that only Jesus Christ can give.
